First State Bank Sweeps Best of Marathon Awards

First State Bank of the Florida Keys was voted “Best Bank of Marathon” and the “Most Community Minded Business” in the Jaycees’ Annual “Best of Marathon” competition.
First State Bank was recognized with the “Best Bank” award for their high standards of customer service and broad range of banking and lending products.
First State Bank was also awarded the “Most Community Minded Business” in recognition of their extensive involvement with the Keys community, including purchasing
a new athletic scoreboard for Marathon High School.
In 2009 alone, First State Bank of the Florida Keys provided over 428 employee volunteers, representing thousands of community service hours in addition to civic donations of $116,000 in cash and in-kind services to charities and non-profit groups throughout the Keys. ”This recognition is a reflection of our bank’s core values and 55 year history of community support and we are proud to be recognized for the second year in a row as the “Best Bank in Marathon!” said Tony Romano, First State Bank of the Florida Keys Executive Vice President and Retail Market Executive.
