Distinguished British Visitor Father Peter Scott
By: Conch Color

Father John Baker welcomed Father Peter Scott , the pastor of St. John’s Fisher Parish in Great Britain. Father Scott also serves as head of the Britain’s Health Care Ministry, overseeing the hospital chaplains throughout England and Wales. Those who caught him at St. Mary’s this past weekend got to witness one of Great britain’s great orators in action. (We hear he went through three broken pitchers to make his articulate point in his sermons.) Father Scott has been spending a month at St. Peter’s in Big Pine for several years now and loves to swim and dive, and has learned to catch lobster along the way. A few year’s back, Conch Color publisher Tom Oosterhoudt had the pleasure of diving with the good father, thanks to mutual friends up in Cudjoe Key.
